The Carolinian publishes legal notices such as Creditors/Estate, Divorce, Child Custody, Name Changes Notices, etc. To publish a notice follow the following instructions:
Estate/Creditor Notices
- The rate to run the Notice to Creditors is around $300.00. It could be a little more or less, depending on the specifications.
- Our paper runs each Thursday.
- The deadline to be put in each week's paper is Tuesdays at 3 p.m. Anything submitted after will have to be put in the following week's edition.
- We require the following document to be sent (can be mailed, emailed to [email protected], or dropped off at our office): LETTERS of TESTAMENTARY (sometimes called the LETTERS of ADMINISTRATION) and/or a notice draft (if one was provided by the estates representative or Law Firm.)
- Your LETTERS should include the file number, Estate Name (Name of the Deceased), and the Fiduciary's information.
- Make sure all information on the LETTERS is clearly understandable.
- If you do not have a Notice drafted, do not worry. We will use the documents provided by courts and your LETTERS to create one for you.
- Along with the LETTERS and/or Notice Draft, please include your name, email, and phone number.
- If you ARE a firm or representative of the estate, we will need you to include the address to which you want the affidavit to be mailed (which we will include in the notice).
- After we receive your information, we will email you a proof along with price and publication dates. Please send it back with any corrections.
- Payment can be done after you approve the proof or you can wait until you are emailed an invoice.
- Once it has completed its run and paid for, you will receive a notarized Affidavit of Publisher showing it ran in our paper for the specified time.
If you have other questions, please feel free to give us a call at 919-834-5558.
