Join us for the Fourth Ward Gospel Extravaganza on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4–7 PM at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh. This free community celebration will honor the rich history of Raleigh’s Fourth Ward—once home to thriving churches, businesses, and a vibrant Black community before being lost to “urban renewal” in the 1960s and ’70s. Enjoy performances from local singers and church choirs, and hear reflections from Senator Dan Blue on the enduring legacy of this historic neighborhood. |
