The 7th annual 2024 North Carolina Black Heritage Festival themed "Remember the past, Celebrate the present, & Shape the future" will feature 100 black owned companies. Crafts, culture, art, games, performances, information and more is some of what attendees can expect. Free giveaways, discounts, and coupons make the vendor shopping experience like none other and also kids activities. Support black business and black excellence.

People of African descent have played a significant role in shaping a uniquely American style of eating. Join us as we partake in a cultural cuisine experience in honor of Black History Month. Lunch will be provided by a locally Black-owned restaurant. Registration is required and will open late January.

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is partnering with Wake Forest native Ronald “Skip” Parker to host a “Black History Expo”

Free and open to the public, the expo will feature on display many of Parker’s unique and authentic antiques and collectibles from the mid-1800s through the mid-1900s, including an 1842 wooden washboard, a vintage 1954 DeLaval stainless steel milk can, antique dolls depicting Rosa Parks, Ida B. Wells, Ella Fitzgerald, Katherine Johnson, and Maya Angelou, and much more.
