This free community celebration will honor the rich history of Raleigh’s Fourth Ward—once home to thriving churches, businesses, and a vibrant Black community before being lost to “urban renewal” in the 1960s and ’70s. Enjoy performances from local singers and church choirs, and hear reflections from Senator Dan Blue on the enduring legacy of this historic neighborhood.

The African Children’s Choir celebrates over 40 years of hope and transformation through music, education, and worship. Comprised of children ages 8–10 from across Africa, the Choir shares powerful performances of hymns, cultural songs, and stories of faith. Concerts are free to attend, with donations supporting their mission to provide life-changing opportunities for future leaders.
