​In the wake of concerns about the future of the J.W. Ligon Magnet Middle School Building, located at 706 E. Lenoir Street in Raleigh, NC , a Ligon Advisory Council has been selected consisting of four J.W. Ligon High School Alumni, two Ligon Middle School faculty members, 1-2 Middle School parents, and 1-2 Middle School current students. The council’s first scheduled meeting is on August 18th.

The African Children’s Choir celebrates over 40 years of hope and transformation through music, education, and worship. Comprised of children ages 8–10 from across Africa, the Choir shares powerful performances of hymns, cultural songs, and stories of faith.
