The Carolinian is the largest African-American newspaper in North Carolina. Our circulation covers 2/3 of the state, which is the most dense African-American population in NC, and our digital reach is nationwide. In addition to spanning the state, we also span generations of readers. The Black Heritage Museum & Cultural Center, Inc. will display its powerful and vibrant Annual Black History Exhibit.  “Black Resilience: Stories of Triumph Against Adversity”

The Black Heritage Museum & Cultural Center, Inc. proudly announces its Black History Exhibit, The Black Resilience:  Stories of “Triumph Against Adversity,” a comprehensive exhibit of African Americans’ excellence, resilience, creativity, strength, history, and contributions throughout history. 

Step into a world where Black History comes alive through stunning artistry, literature, music, and masterful craftsmanship. Every piece in our exhibit tells a story, every artifact holds a memory, and every moment spent at the exhibit promises to touch the heart while expanding your understanding of Black Americans’ remarkable contributions to our nation.

We’ve created this exhibit and experience for everyone, families, community groups, churches, organizations, and more importantly you to come together, learn, and celebrate the rich tapestry of Black American heritage.

The BHMACC, Inc. is a traveling museum, in that we do not have a permanent location to house extensive art collections and artifacts.  Our mission is to document and preserve Black heritage and culture to encourage, empower, educate, and uplift future generations through scholarly engagement, art, and artistic expression.

This exhibit will run from February 3rd to 28th, 2025, Monday – Friday, 9 AM-4 PM, with an opening reception held on February 6th, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, at the Historical Blount Bridgers House,130 Bridgers Street, Tarboro, North Carolina.
