Leaders are made during the tough times. The question is can they rise to the occasion? Do they show good judgement, can they assemble a team of experts, and can they convince the masses to follow them?
When you look at the state of our nation under the control of Democrat leadership in the United States Senate, House of Representatives, and the White House, it is clear: we have failed leadership incapable of rising to the occasion to help the American people.
By every index, things are not getting better in this Biden-Harris administration. Shockingly things are getting worse, and the working middle class and minorities are on the receiving end of all of these socialist ideas, policies, and mandates. Yes, under the hypocritical rule of the Democrats, everyday Americans are not being built back better.
You do not need a poll or a TV host to tell you what you see and feel daily. When you go to the gas station to fill up your car, what do you see? Rising gas prices impact families every single time they fill up their vehicles. According to CNBC, “Gas prices have climbed this year as demand for petroleum products returns. The national average for a gallon of gas stood at $3.186 on Tuesday, according to AAA, up from $3.143 a month ago. Over the last year, prices are up by just over $1. In May, the national average crossed the $3 mark for the first time since 2014.”
“‘The president recognizes that gas prices can put a pinch on the family budget,’ said a senior White House official, who asked not to be identified to speak candidly about the issue.”
As the price for gasoline continues to rise, the Biden-Harris administration does not have this under control. As a result, Americans are spending more of their hard-earned money on basic necessities.
As you pay for more at the pump, ask yourself: has the Biden-Harris administration shown leadership regarding rising inflation, which is an additional hidden tax on your money? The answer is no. Just look at the fact that Consumer prices rose at 5.4% in July – remaining at the highest rate since 2008.
Let’s put this in perspective so you can really break down what that means for you and your family. The spike in consumer prices for Americans has some economists sending a strong warning: all of the gains that might have been made with last month’s wage gains were “completely erased by” the higher prices of everyday goods. The extra money you thought you had because of a pay raise went to paying more for things you need. That keeps your bottom line at a flatline instead of an increase.
I have talked about food inflation before but guess what, it still has not gotten any better and we have seen zero leadership from the Biden administration.
You feel it when you go to the grocery store and are paying more for the basics: fish is up 8.5 percent, milk is up 6.2 percent, eggs are up 5.7 percent, and fruit and chicken are both up 5.2 percent.
“Bidenflation” is a reality for most families. In fact, according to a new poll, 86 percent of Americans are concerned about inflation, and 79 percent say Biden’s economic agenda is making things worse, because it is.
Vice President Harris was put in charge of the border and still has not gotten to the root causes of the crisis because the root cause is her and Biden’s failed leadership.
In July, more than 212,000 illegal migrants were apprehended along our southern border which is a 13 percent increase over June, a 420 percent increase over last July, and a 353 percent increase from the average number of July apprehensions during the Trump administration. We know the Biden-Harris administration has shown failed leadership on the crisis at the border — which they actually created — because it is still out of control.
When it comes to our public health, Biden and Harris have also led from behind. The Delta variant skyrocketed under the watch of this administration, and it does not seem to be under control. Joe Biden and Democrats are confusing the American people with their COVID-19 response messaging. Whether it is reversing their policies or enacting hypocritical mandates for others which they fail to follow themselves, it is no wonder recent polls show Americans are losing their confidence in Joe Biden’s response to this pandemic.
Lastly, when you look at the total collapse of Afghanistan’s government unfolding before our eyes it shows us once again that the Biden-Harris administration is not up to the task of leading on the global stage. What we see is an embarrassment and Biden has only himself to blame.
Unless you call making matters worse for everyday Americans – especially minorities, those on fixed incomes, and those in the middle class — a sign of leadership, then we have to say that Biden and Harris have failed every test. We will not find leadership from Democrats like Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, or Roy Cooper. The leadership we need right now will come from Republicans at all levels of government.
