African American Town Hall Meeting
September 9, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
FreeJoin us for the African American Town Hall Meeting on Sep 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM UTC, where we’ll discuss important issues.
KCSSU is planning a town hall meeting focused on institutional racism. We would like to invite the general public to come out and discuss with the panel and other community members. Our goal is to help foster a collaborative effort amongst local government, non-profits, churches, and the community to dismantle institutional racism. This town hall will have a solution-based orientation with a focus on equity, and restorative justice. We were very encouraged to learn about the city of Raleigh acknowledging its enforcement of and benefit from slavery, segregation and “urban renewal” programs that destroyed Black communities in the city.
