Our circulation covers 2/3 of the state, which is the most dense African-American population in NC, and our digital reach is nationwide. FreeFlood Group to Celebrate Local Achievers
The Flood Group will present its Third Annual Image Awards on Sunday, March 10th at 3:00 p.m. at the John Chavis Community Center located at 505 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Raleigh. This event commemorates Black History and will honor exemplary individuals who have made notable contributions in the areas of community service, criminal justice and law, cultural arts, education, entrepreneurship, government service, leadership, medicine, and social advocacy. This year’s honorees include Kevin Bobbitt, Thomas Bradshaw, Chanda Branch, George E. Harden Jr., Terrence and Torry Holt, Scot McCray, Michael Morgan, Octavia Rainey, and Shinica Thomas. This event is free and open to the public.

The Flood Group is a Raleigh-based education advocacy group organized exclusively for community education and enhancement. It harnesses its leadership, mission, and strong community ties to raise awareness and build bridges throughout Wake County.
