Who are the Lions?

The Wendell Lions Club is a non-profit service organization. We are men and women who volunteer our time to humanitarian causes in the local and world communities by conducting service projects and raising funds. In the process, we enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of other Wake County citizens and have fun working together. We make a real difference in our community. Our core focus area supporting those in need are the visually and hearing impaired, diabetes, youth, and local community.

What are our members like?

Our membership comprises people of all walks of life and very diverse backgrounds united with a common goal of being ready to serve the citizens of Wendell and Wake County. We are dedicated men and women who make a difference. All members strongly believe that by assisting those less fortunate in our community we make a dramatic impact on the future. Through our members’ efforts, every dollar raised by the Wendell Lions Club directly benefits the worthwhile programs that we support.

We would like to increase our membership and would like to encourage younger men and women to consider serving in a service organization. Through being a Lion, you not only have an opportunity to help those in need in their communities and throughout the world, but also have the opportunity to develop personal friendships and gain valuable leadership opportunities.

To visit our Lions Club and learn how to become a member, please contact any Wendell Lions Club member. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday at the Wendell Lions Club, 700 Lions Club Road in Wendell, NC at 6:45 PM. Dinner is provided.
