The Carolinian Newspaper congratulates St. Augustine’s university Class of 2025!
Witnessed by cheering family and friends, Twenty-Five Seniors marched and turned their tassels at the Ninety-Fifth Commencement Exercises of St. Augustine’s University at Wake Chapel Church’s Life Enrichment Center in Raleigh on May 3, 2025.
The new graduates, welcomed by St. Augustine’s Interim President Dr. Marcus Burgess, and a commencement address by Rev. Allen F. Robinson (‘92), gave words of inspiration to the new grads who were determined to graduate despite adversity.
With help from Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Knowles (pictured left) and the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA, their donation of $132K to help clear the debt of eleven seniors to ensure they walk across the stage with no debt to being their future careers.
This is the spirit and the enduring legacy of St. Augustine’s University.
