DESCRIPTION:Fundraising Event for COTA Honoring Local Kristen Allen to Be Held \nIn Angier\, NC – A “Poker Run” will be held for COTA in honor of Kristen Allen\, who has had a heart transplant.  The event is planned for Nov. 9th\, at the Angier Black River Fire Department. 25-year-old Kristen Allen has received a Heart transplant at Duke University Medical Center in Durham\, NC.  Funds are being raised in honor of Kristen Allen to assist with transplant-related expenses.   \nThe poker run will start at the Angier Black River Fire Department sign up is at 10am and starts at 11am\, our sponsor is Dragon Slayers MC Harnett County Chapter.  309 N Broad St E\, Angier\, NC 27501\, stops to include JoCo Dragon Slayers\, Big Daddy’s\, Bronze and Oak\, Finishing up at Napper Tandy’s.  The cost of this event will be $20 for a bike and $10 for a passenger per person.  Kristen Allen was diagnosed with UNK.  Local volunteers are raising as much as possible for COTA in honor of Kristen Allen to assist with transplant-related expenses throughout her lifetime. \n“The family and friends of Kristen Allen want to encourage everyone to attend our Poker Run and help give Kristen a second chance at life\,” said Johnny Allen.  “100% of the profits from the Poker Run will assist with transplant-related expenses.” \nFor more information about Kristen Allen\, or other fundraising and volunteer opportunities\, please contact Johnny Allen\, Email is allenjf1967@gmail.com.  \nKristen Allen’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA)\, a national charity based in Bloomington\, Indiana.  COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.  COTA’s services are completely free of charge\, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses. \n800.366.2682 · COTA.org
